About Us
Why do we do what we do? Why do we charge what we charge? Why the funny name? Why is our coffee any different? Why do we know the airspeed velocity of an un-laden swallow?

We are a coffee focused Social Purpose Corporation in the state of Washington. In short, that means that in addition to great coffee, we strive to take care of our customers, our employees, the environment, and the people that grow our coffee. We love coffee and know there are a lot of options out there. The problem we see with the coffee industry is that everyone is trying to convince you that their coffee is the best coffee. We understand that everyone is different and that even the slightest change to how a coffee is roasted can make a big difference. At Fofcee, you can choose a coffee because you vacationed there, your Junior High pen pal is from there, the country sounds cool, or just because you feel like it. We want to make the world a better place. We want to deliver you something unique. We also think it's cool to have a custom roasted bag of coffee next to your coffee maker.

We don't want to pressure our green coffee suppliers so much that they can't be profitable or send us a substandard product. We buy high quality coffee that is a mix of fair trade, organic and shade grown, rainforest certified etc when possible. Coffee of this standard costs a bit more and we are willing to pay more. While the bags we ship in are compostable and keep the coffee at optimal freshness, they aren't as cheap as plastic or foil but we want to leave a very little mark when the coffee is done.

The name? Our motto is "It's coffee, just different." Our name is c-o-f-f-e-e just different; f-o-f-c-e-e. A free scrabble app helped us harness the genius of mixing up words that embody the words and phrases that are near and dear to us at Fofcee.

We aren't about stock price and shareholder value. We are about putting an outstanding coffee in your kitchen that you will want to tell your friends about. We are about doing good, being better and drinking lots of coffee.

Regarding the airspeed of the swallow, it would depend on if its African or European.
